northern leopard frog | scan & turntable
In an ever-idle position this Northern Leopard Frog remains zealous for all to see! It's not so often frogs sit still... However, he may have practiced this figure for a while...
Scanned at the courtesy of an academic lab collection, refined, retopologized, texture-baked, and granted a new pair of peepers too!
—This preserved specimen, originally absent of proper pigmentation, has been revived in the three-dimensional Cartesian coordinate system! Furthermore, I utilized the practice of photogrammetry to obtain two separate point clouds of the frog’s body, then sculpted and remeshed the components to make for an entire body.
After projected-caging textures from the reconstructed mesh, the road of re-representation was close ahead!
