protosiren fraasi turntable & display piece

First in the Sirenia order, and last in leg ability! The Protosiren Fraasi is back underseas since the Cretaceous days of Pangea. Scanned at the courtesy of the American Museum of Natural History based in Manhattan, New York, refined, retopologized, and texture-baked at the additional goal of 3D printing a miniature desk display.

In its history, this scan as you will see, was solely achieved in one side profile, specifically due to the specimen’s encasing display. However, this obstacle to a complete scan was ambitiously overcome by the joy of mirroring geometry! After the traditional sculpting, retopology, caged texture projections, and rigging, the specimen could now live outside of its parent enclosure.
